Why sign up for my email list?

Have you signed up for my email list yet?

If you’re hesitating, this post is for you. Here’s what you can expect if you trust me with your email

What my email list is about

My goal is to keep you informed of exciting news (a book mayhaps, at long last?), ensuring that you’re happy to see my name pop up every so often. No BS, no endless sales, no spam.

Because, if you’re anything like me, you are hesitant to sign up for email lists or newsletters, even though you still do it. Selectively.

That’s because it feels like your inbox, whether personal or professional – or the combination thereof! – is always overflowing, making it very hard to cut through the saturation and noise made by so much content.

Worse, a recent trend I keep coming face to face with is this idea that for an email list to thrive, its owner has to stay top of mind with not just regular but frequent emails. Weekly if not daily!

I veto all of that.

Doing things my way

The kind of email subscriptions I appreciate the most are the ones – few and far between – that find that oh so elusive balance, emailing me just often enough that I always look forward to reading their content, and doing so when relevant rather than based on a “best practice” schedule.

There is one exception: The 3-2-1 James Clear Newsletter. It goes out once a week and it’s both short and brilliant, so I always read it. But that is NOT the rhythm I aspire to (just putting it out there in case you’re looking for more great content).

All that to say that I’m thrilled you’re here, and I hope you’ll stick around.

And, because I’m new at this and always open to learning from those better than me – are there any email lists or newsletters you really enjoy? If so, which ones are they, and what makes you such a fan?

[One last time in case you skipped to the end: You can sign up for my emails here!]
